LOCATION AND CLIMATE
Dubrovnik (Croatia, South Dalmatia) is located at the south part of Croatia in region South Dalmatia. It is situated bellow highland Brd.
Dubrovnik consists 32 settlements. It is one of the most attractive cities in Mediterranean.

HISTORY
After the fall of Epidaurum, today`s Cavtat, in 7th century, first traces of
Dubrovnik start to show.
Dubrovnik Republic has kept its autonomy during the history. It is founded in 1272. In 14th and 15th century
Dubrovnik was with Ancona and Venice most important trade and maritime center in the Adriatic. In 15th century
Dubrovnik had its own money, flag, duke, alderman... In 1525. Dubrovnik Republic accepted paying tribute to Turks and it traded through Turkish Empire for small cost. In 1667. quake staggered
Dubrovnik. In 18th century it recovered and in 1808. Napoleon canceled
Dubrovnik Republic.
In 1815.
Dubrovnik was adjoined to Dalmatia and Croatia. In 1991. Dubrovnik was under attack of Serbs and it was occupied and ruined. Today it recovered and kept its heritage.
